Brussels Highlights

With only 48 hours in Brussles, we had to be sure that everything was good! No time for bad food or beer. Here are our highlights:

FOOD

Maison Dandoy - Get your Belgian waffle fix here! This cute little cafe has a spiral staircase up to two levels of seating and was a good vibe. I prefer a sugary leige waffle, which I got plenty of from the waffle shops on the street, but here we got a big thick Brussels waffle with whipped cream and strawberries.

Le Cirio - Authentic Belgian! I had my only non-beer drink of the trip, their signature half-and-half (half champagne, half white wine) and a Croque sampler while Marcus got the Waterzooi chicken which was AMAZING.

Nüetnigenough - More traditional Belgian, but more of an upscale vibe because of the small space. Helpful staff and everything was tasty!

Frites, Chocolates - No specific place for these, just be sure to get a cone of fresh french fries and sample some Belgian chocolates while you’re there!

EXPERIENCE

Manneken Pis - A symbol of Brussels, you cant miss the “Little Pissing Man” fountain. If you’re lucky he will be wearing one of his outfits!

DRINKS

Delirium - With over 2000 beers from around the world, you will surely find something you like here. Order a “meter of beer”, a sampler of 10 of their beers served on a 1-meter board.

Brussels Beer Project - The next generation of Belgian beers, you have to check this place out. Part brewer’s playground, part tasting room, you could spend a whole afternoon here. Such a great selection, can’t recommend enough.

Mort Subite - Popular lunch spot where you can also just grab a beer and a snack, very cool old building and waiters dressed up.

Corica - Coffee! Roasted on-site, they have beans from all over the world.
